Announcements:

  • Full Support for Chromium-based Microsoft Edge: Our app now fully supports Chromium-based versions of Microsoft Edge (versions 79+) for Windows and macOS.
  • Improved Safari Support: Our app now works better with Safari versions 15.4 and 15.5, which come with iOS 15.4, 15.5, and macOS 12.3, 12.4.
  • Beta Support for Google Chrome and Firefox on iOS: We’re excited to announce that our app now includes beta support for Google Chrome and Firefox on iOS.
  • Screen Sharing in macOS 10.15+ (Catalina): To publish a screen-sharing stream on macOS 10.15+ (Catalina), the user must grant the browser access to the screen in macOS System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Screen Recording. Otherwise, the Publisher will dispatch an accessDenied event.
  • Video Filter (Blur & Virtual Background): Our app’s video filters are supported in recent versions of Chrome, Electron, Opera, and Edge, but not in other browsers or on iOS . For optimal performance, use Chrome (desktop or Android), and ensure your device meets the minimum system requirements: Intel Core i5 (with 4 cores or higher) or Apple Silicon M1 (or higher), 8GB RAM or more, and a dedicated GPU. Also, for best results with video transformations like background blur, use proper lighting and a plain background. Remember, some operating systems may limit processing resources, affecting performance, so we recommend using the best performance mode.

Known Issues:

General Issues:
  • Sometimes the participants are not let into the meeting even if it has started. We are working on it.
  • In some cases, you might see emojis unexpectedly appear in videos. This is due to a new feature and can be disabled manually during a video session.
  • Sometimes, new participants might not be heard until you bring focus to the app. Switching to the app restores audio for the new participants.
  • In some cases, you might notice that the video resolution may not update correctly when you switch your device’s orientation.
  • You might experience disconnects in certain situations. We are currently investigating this issue.
  • In some cases, you might notice that the video flickers when the content doesn’t change much. This issue is being looked into.
Browser-Specific Issues:
For iOS Users:
  • Video might flicker when you change your device orientation or resize the video.
  • Video might initially display at the wrong resolution, causing a visible flicker as the video resizes.
  • If you accept an incoming phone call and return to the app, the audio and video from your device may be dropped.
For Android Users:
  • Video resolution may not update correctly when you switch your device’s orientation.
  • Chrome requires using the “Media Volume” to adjust the volume instead of the phone’s volume slider.
  • After setting the permissions in the browser, you might need to restart the device for the permissions to take effect.
For Safari Users:
  • New participants might not be heard until you bring focus to the browser tab. Switching to the tab that uses the app restores audio for the new participants.
  • Screen-sharing a window might cause the page to reload.
  • Audio might not be heard if you subscribe to an audio-only stream.
For Firefox Users:
  • Video resolution may not update correctly when you switch your device’s orientation.
  • Publishing at Full High Definition (1080p) resolution might fail.
For Chrome Users:
  • Video might be flipped upside down when using a background blur or background replacement filter.
  • Audio might not change when using Chrome’s “Share this tab instead” feature.
